Board member

In addition to my board position I have also held positions in the division as Treasurer and First Vice President. Founder of Division, and served as the Editor of Slate & Style, for the past 27 years. Current position, Poetry Editor, for Slate & Style.

I am the Secretary of my NFB chapter, and President of the Friends of the Library. I am membership chair of the Freeport Chorale. Previously, I served as a representative for Job Opportunities for the Blind.

I have been writing since I was 13, and have published many short articles both locally and nationally. My main occupation is novelist. I self published one short novel, and am looking for a publisher for another, a mystery. In my spare time, I paint landscapes and animal portraits. I have two daughters and nine grandchildren, and have been married to David Stayer since 1972.
