Michael Floyd

Treasurer, NFB Writers' Division

Treasurer Michael Floyd, elected to his post as Treasurer of the NFB Writer’s Division at the 2009 National Convention, Michael brings 27 years of Federation leadership experience to the task. He has chaired a variety of committees at different levels and has served as President of the Oklahoma and the Nebraska Affiliates.

Michael currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska where he works as a counselor with specialization in alcohol and drug treatment. He has submitted short stories and poetry in both the last two Writer’s Division contests, receiving honorable mentions in 2008. He also designs T-shirts, posters, writes song lyrics, and currently is commissioned to script a module for a blindness rehabilitation video tool.
