NFB Writers' Division PodcastsWhere the Blind Work Where the Blind Work is a joint project between the NFB Writers' Division and the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute to catalogue the number and type of jobs blind individuals are doing to provide to blind individuals, employers, and blindness professionals information about the variety of jobs now being successfully done by blind people.
What kind of work are blind people doing? How do they do it? Why should employers hire a blind person? What careers are YOU interested in pursuing? Blind people are working in a wide variety of jobs doing work that people mistakenly believe require sight. Blind students are often "tracked" into certain fields, whether they are interested in them or not.
